To make sure you prevent that from happening, here are some proven skin care tips you can adopt specifically for your skin type.

For Normal Skin

The best regimen for a normal skin type is to cleanse and moisturize with gentle products. As a cleanser, mild soap is ideal for your skin while non-greasy facial cream is a good choice for a moisturizer. This should be done on a daily basis to make sure that there’s no residual dirt that stays in your skin. If you want to take your skincare regimen to the next level, use an alcohol-free toner to keep your skin looking and feeling fresh.

For Dry Skin

Dry skin requires a more stringent skin care regimen because it’s prone to irritation and premature aging as well as flaking. To prevent these, use natural skin care products that have a rich consistency. This can come in the form of herbal oils, virgin coconut oil, and even undiluted Shea butter applied twice a day. For your cleanser, use a mild cleansing liquid or milk. A good alternative is herbal infused water to clean your skin.

For Oily Skin

As the opposite of dry skin, having this skin type means you have to do everything opposite of what someone with a skin care regimen for dry skin would do. For starters, you’d have to remove excess oil from your skin while ensuring it remains hydrated. Another typical problem is to minimize and clean enlarged pores to keep the dirt out. This would keep your skin from breaking out.

Ideally, you should wash your face 2 to 3 times a day using a mild soap. Excessive washing of your face up to three times a day will only prompt your glands to produce more oil. For your moisturizer, use one with water-based or non-greasy formula. Additionally, you should also use an alcohol-free toner to help manage the oiliness of your skin.

For Combination Skin

This skin type is much more complicated to manage since your skin care regimen should be able to address your facial skin’s different concerns. The trick to managing combination skin well is to use the tips for oily skin in your t-zone and the tips for dry skin for the rest of your face. This will ensure that all parts of your skin get the exact care it needs.
