Exfoliating Scrub

An exfoliating scrub is an important part of your skincare arsenal. It’s responsible for removing dead skin cells from your face that cause clogged pores, blackheads, and pimples. Moreover, not exfoliating regularly can lead to a dull-looking complexion. If you want to have fresher looking skin more often, make it a habit to exfoliate at least twice a week. Don’t do it too frequently though or you might end up with red, sensitive skin.

Skin Type Appropriate Cleanser

During the days you can’t use your scrub, opt for a cleanser that’s specifically suited to your skin. Unlike using soap, using cleanser won’t dry your skin and strip it of its natural oils that keep your skin hydrated. Experts typically recommend cream cleansers for dry skin and gel-type cleansers for oily skin.

Eye Cream

The eyes are the first part of the face that shows during the process of aging. Often, you’ll see crow’s feet forming on the sides of your eyes when you smile or the skin around it becomes droopy as you age. Although you can have your eyes treated when they start showing signs of aging, prevention is still better than cure. Keeping your eyes moisturized is as simple as applying eye cream before you sleep. You can either opt for an eye cream that moisturizes or firms the skin around your eye area.

Toner

If you particularly have oily skin, using a toner is an absolute must for you. Applying toner is a great way to get rid of any residual dirt that your cleanser wasn’t able to remove. More importantly, it also eliminates excess oil from your skin so you don’t get a lot of pimple breakouts.

Moisturizers

Applying moisturizer is a great way to keep your skin hydrated. Ideally, you should apply one in the morning and in the evening. For your evening skincare routine, opt for a thicker moisturizer that will penetrate your skin while you’re asleep. This way, you get to wake up with a much smoother and supple skin.
